What are the methods and techniques for operating a CNC machining center?

2021-09-11 10:56:36

Numerical control machining center is an ideal equipment for high-precision product processing in the industrial field today. The operator can achieve precise control of machining operations by the digital system through code writing, and can complete various product machining operations such as drilling, milling, cutting, tapping, etc. The steps of operating a CNC machining center are relatively complex and require the operator to have rich experience. During the operation, it is easy to encounter some difficulties and problems. Next, I will share some methods and techniques with you.

What are the methods and techniques of operation?

In the process of CNC machining centers, it is often difficult to handle situations where the hole walls of the parts are thin, the strength is low, the material is prone to deformation, and the rigidity is low. Thin walled workpieces are prone to stress deformation during clamping, resulting in uneven thickness of the hole wall, which is difficult to recover on its own after processing. For parts with lower strength, greater cutting force can cause temperature rise or vibration, resulting in deformation. To solve such problems, the cutting force of the workpiece should be moderately reduced, and cutting should be carried out at a higher speed with a lower feed rate. Cutting at higher speeds can quickly remove debris from the surface of the workpiece, preventing the temperature of the workpiece from becoming too high and causing deformation due to heat.

The surface roughness of a product is one of the important indicators for evaluating whether it meets the standards. In CNC machining, the factors that affect the surface roughness of parts mainly include cutting marks on the workpiece surface, collision marks between the blade and the workpiece surface, thermal deformation and plastic deformation of the workpiece, etc. When selecting the roughness level of the processed product surface, it is necessary to consider the product's functionality as well as the time and cost required for processing. When meeting the basic requirements of the workpiece as much as possible, choose a larger roughness to reduce the difficulty and cost of product processing. The cutting tools need to be regularly maintained and polished to ensure that they meet the machining standards.

The subsequent cleaning and maintenance work of CNC machining centers is also very important. After the operation is completed, it is necessary to scrub and clean the machine body, apply engine oil, check the wear of machine parts, and repair and replace them in a timely manner. Only in this way can the roughness of the processed product be reduced, the processing quality of the workpiece be improved, and the service life of the machine be extended.
